Your mission

• Manage and optimize our customers business partner master data by ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of critical business information
• Collaborate with customer success managers, customers, data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand the individual usage of our Business Partner Data Management products 
• Conduct regular data quality assessments and audits to identify and resolve data inconsistencies and errors to ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across all data sources and pipelines
• Optimize and tune data processes for performance and scalability 
• Provide support and troubleshooting for data-related issues and perform root cause analysis  
• Continuously monitor and improve data infrastructure, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency 

Your profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and relevant years of experience in data engineering specifically for master data management 
• Proficiency in master data management (MDM) principles, practices, and tools
• Strong knowledge of relational and non-relational database systems (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
• Experience with ETL tools and processes for data integration and transformation
• Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Python, and Java
• Knowledge of data quality assessment and improvement techniques
• Understanding of data governance frameworks and practices
• Excellent communication skills

Cofinity-X GmbH is based in Cologne and was founded in 2023. It is a joint venture of BASF, BMW Group, Henkel, Mercedes-Benz, SAP, Schaeffler, Siemens, T-Systems, Volkswagen and ZF. The vision of Cofinity-X is to run an open marketplace for the provision of own and third-party business applications and further services that enable secured and standardized data transfer along the automotive value chain in accordance with the Gaia-X and Catena-X principles with initial focus on the European market.
